Andrea Zamora is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and a 6th-12th grade Intervention teacher at Mission Achievement and Success Charter School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has also taught 8th-12th ELA at MAS. Andrea believes in mentoring her fellow teachers to help them navigate the classroom. She also focuses on ensuring every student feels seen and heard to increase their self-esteem and to empower them in their educational journey. Andrea has led multiple professional development trainings and aided in an early SEL curriculum for her school. She has a BA in Classical Studies from the University of New Mexico and hopes to return to complete a Master’s in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Special Education.
