Arely spent the last 6 years living in Edinburgh, Scotland as an Administrative Assistant at Hadeel, a fair trade shop selling Palestinian crafts, where she ensured efficient operations, mainainted the website, systems, and social media accounts, prepared newsletters, and supervised volunteers. She volunteered for fair trade organizations assisting the movement in Scotland and served as Event Planner & Creative Director volunteer with Hand Up Events, where she planned and implemented fashion shows to bring exposure to the need for sustainability, inclusivity, and diversity in the fashion industry. In previous roles she worked in retail, customer service, and accounting.
Arely received her BA in Art and Psychology from the University of Houston and her MA in Arts, Festival, & Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University. Arely lives in Houston with her husband and new baby and loves spending her free time reading, painting, sewing, and spending time with her family.
