Anthony Drew is the Managing Director of Finance. In this role, Anthony is responsible for the organization’s financial health, sustainability, and accountability. He provides strategic leadership over financial operations, strengthens systems and processes, and serves as a key thought partner to the Chiefs team in shaping and adapting financial strategy.
Prior to joining Teach Plus, Anthony worked in the budget office at Seattle Public Schools, where he partnered with school and program leaders to align resources with student needs and priorities. He supported leaders in making strategic decisions to expand opportunity and improve student outcomes, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Earlier in his career, Anthony was a Research Associate at the Edunomics Lab, where he conducted national research on K–12 resource allocation and financial equity and supported training for state and district leaders on equitable budgeting practices.
Anthony holds a Master of Education in Education Policy from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. He lives in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and enjoys getting outside and staying active with his wife and two boys.
