As Regional Director of Development, Kelly Gregorio (she/her) partners with Teach Plus’ Executive Directors to fundraise across several states and contribute to a team goal of over $20M annually. She specializes in funder strategy, engagement, and preparation; development team operations; and the timely, focused execution of top development priorities. With over a decade of experience in the national K-12 education nonprofit space, Kelly is committed to uplifting communities, teachers, and students. Over her career, hundreds of awards have been secured and stewarded among foundations, corporate sponsors, individual donors, and U.S. federal grants.
Prior to Teach Plus, Kelly served as a Senior Director of Development & Communications at New Teacher Center, where she fundraised for the organization’s unrestricted portfolio. In 2022, she launched a nonprofit development consulting business, Citrus, partnering with many national K-12 education nonprofits. Through Citrus, her nonprofit experience grew to understand and appreciate the many facets of an organization and its operations, from program team management to Chief of Staff support for C suite, all of which have elevated her development perspective and approach today.
Kelly holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction writing, which she uses to uplift the public profiles of the nonprofits that she serves. A favorite Saturday afternoon includes a coffee shop, some creative writing, and as of late, developing comic strips that appeal to her family, friends, and most important, her 3 year old son.
