Rebecca Jacobi

Rebecca joins Teach Plus as a Programs and Operations Associate, providing critical administrative and operational support across communications, logistics, event planning, data and systems management, and recruitment and selection. She supports the Federal Policy Program (National Teacher Advisory Cabinet), the Center for Inspired Teaching and Learning, and the Growth team, helping to coordinate cross-functional projects and maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

Before joining Teach Plus, Rebecca managed the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GEEA) Incentive Fund at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), coordinating investments that advanced women’s economic empowerment and locally led development. Previously, she served as a Program Associate for Partnerships and Sustainable Finance at the Pan American Development Foundation, supporting initiatives focused on inclusive economic growth and climate resilience in Latin America and the Caribbean. Rebecca also worked as a Communications and Gender Specialist with Roots for Peace in Afghanistan, supporting women-led microenterprises and partnering with local stakeholders to expand opportunities for women and girls.

Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Gender, Development, and Globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Women and Gender Studies from the University of Mary Washington. Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, she now lives in Washington, DC. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring DC’s neighborhoods, hosting dinner parties with friends, and getting lost in a good book.
