Jewel joins Teach Plus as a Program and Operations Associate, providing critical program and operational support to ensure effective implementation across regional and center teams. In her role supporting AR, MI & MS, she manages project workflows, supports internal and external communications, oversees data accuracy across key systems, and leads logistics for both virtual and in-person events. She will also contribute to recruitment efforts by coordinating outreach, managing applications, and facilitating communication with prospective candidates.
Before joining Teach Plus, Jewel served as a Recruiting and Social Media Coordinator at CAA Executive Search, where she led social media strategy and provided administrative support to recruiting teams. She previously worked at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, as the Senior Business Administrative Office Assistant in University Housing, overseeing operational processes and supporting administrative functions. During her time on campus, she also held leadership roles in student organizations, serving as President, Vice President, and Freshman Representative of the Asian Student Union (ASU) and as Communications Chair of the Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU). In addition, she served as an advocate for the Lawton Scholar Program and contributed to research in the Communications department.
Jewel earned her BS in Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Based in Chicago, she’s a passionate movie enthusiast, enjoys new food spots, puzzling, and crocheting in her free time.
