Shaima Abdullah (she/her) joins Teach Plus as a Program and Operations Associate. As a program and operations team member, she will provide administrative support to regional and national programs in various areas, including recruitment and selection, communications, logistics and event planning, and data and systems management.
Before Teach Plus, Shaima was a Business Development Associate for Club SciKidz Houston. She built on her operations and program management skills to serve the Houston community by offering youth after-school programs and summer camps. Shaima is passionate about educational equity and excellence. She strives to continue this internal mission of supporting student success and educational policy advocacy alongside the mission and staff of Teach Plus.
Shaima received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. In her spare time, Shaima enjoys reading women of color feminist essays, weightlifting, and cooking. Shaima is based in Houston, TX.
