Our Mission and Student Opportunity Mandate
The mission of Teach Plus is to empower excellent, experienced, and diverse teachers to take leadership over key policy and practice issues that advance equity, opportunity, and student success.
In pursuing our mission, Teach Plus is guided by our Student Opportunity Mandate: To act boldly and create the conditions where every student can imagine their future — and experience an education that delivers the opportunity to realize it.
The mandate calls us to:
- Build with students and families, not just for them.
- Foster trust and belonging in every school community.
- Bring learning to life—hands-on, joyful, and relevant.
- Ensure every student achieves and grows through powerful learning.
- Hold high expectations for all.
- Adapt with intention as the world changes.
