Teach Plus Texas
Welcome to Teach Plus Texas! Our mission is to empower excellent, experienced, and diverse teachers to take leadership over key policy and practice issues that advance equity, opportunity, and student success.
Through our programs, teachers from across the state learn how policy is made and how it impacts their classroom. We provide teachers with training and opportunities to change and influence policies at the school, district, and state level—achieving change in schools and in the broader education system.

Did you know?
In 2016, Teach Plus established the Teach Plus Texas Advisory Board, which launched with teachers from across the Lone Star State.
The Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship launched in 2017. Teach Plus Fellows have met with policy makers, published op-eds, testified to improve teacher preparation, and helped shape Texas’ implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
