Teach Plus Texas and the entire Teach Plus community are saddened by the news of yet another school shooting. Today, a gunman targeted Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas and multiple casualties have been reported. We extend our deepest condolences to the students, teachers, and families affected. We believe schools should be safe and nurturing learning environments, where students and teachers do not ever have to fear for their lives. We call on public officials to immediately focus on identifying strategies to ensure that a tragedy like this never happens again. Our children and educators deserve no less.
