Where We WorkLeading Edge Educator Fellowship
The Leading Edge Educator Fellowship is a highly selective program for educators to become skilled communicators and writers about policies and innovations that are reshaping education. The program combines hands-on experience with AI and emerging educational technologies, deep dives into local and national policy, and intensive communications training to help innovative educators contribute meaningfully to public dialogue about the future of teaching and learning.
Throughout the program, Fellows will have opportunities to use their voice by:
- Writing op-eds for publication in education and mainstream media outlets, sharing their unique perspectives on how emerging innovations and technologies are reshaping classroom practice
- Engaging with the media to serve as expert voices on educational innovation, bringing authentic classroom experiences to public discussions
- Taking part in local and national conversations through speaking engagements and panels
What we are looking for:
- Applicants should be teachers of record who have at least two years of teaching experience by January 2025 and plan to remain a teacher through June 2026
- Enthusiasm for innovative teaching practices, particularly those involving emerging technologies
- Ability to communicate complex educational concepts to diverse audiences
- Understanding of both classroom realities and broader education policy contexts
As part of the program, Fellows are expected to:
- Participate in monthly virtual meetings focused on developing expertise in AI, education policy, and communications
- Engage with and learn from guest speakers and experts in policy, communications, AI, and innovation
- Take part in various communications opportunities, including writing and publishing at least one op-ed during the program year
- Contribute to a learning community of forward-thinking educators from across the nation
If selected, Fellows will receive a $2,000 stipend.
