Erin Acosta

Erin Acosta is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. She is an early childhood Montessori and music teacher, as well as the Community Relations Coordinator at the Montessori Academy of Chicago. Erin is a part of the school’s social-emotional curriculum implementation team and member of the Illinois Action for Children Emerging Leaders Institute. She began as a paraprofessional in a special needs preschool. She has provided enrichment lessons for families and helped establish a thriving family network at her program. Erin holds an infant toddler credential from the American Montessori Society, Montessori certification from the American Montessori Society, and a BA in infant toddler studies from National Louis University. She received the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship, joining the inaugural Early Childhood Administration and Faculty Preparation program at NLU, where she earned an MEd.
