Abdul Adaya is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow. He is a special education teacher at West Briar Middle School in Houston, Texas, providing support in math. Abdul became a teacher to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives and to foster an inclusive learning environment. With a diverse professional background, he has held leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer at Ignited Rentals and Security Supervisor at Custom Floors Unlimited. Abdul holds a BA in human resources management from the University of Houston, where he has been on the Dean’s List.
