Hira Adaya is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Early Childhood Educator Group Facilitator. She is a special education teacher at Mission Glen Elementary in Houston. Hira has served as a Resource Teacher and professional learning community leader at Harmony Public Schools. Hira also is a Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship alumna. She believes that every child can learn when provided the necessary tools to overcome barriers. Hira has a BA in sociology from Lamar University and M.Ed. from Lamar University.
