Alexander Kmicikewycz teaches an inquiry-based math and science program at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep. He previously taught high school math and science, including AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics, in the Bronx in New York City and in Chicago. Alexander was selected as a 2015 National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow, is a College Board AP Advocate, and has received a grant from the College Board for his work with minority and low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the AP courses. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS in Molecular Biology and Child Development and received an MA in Math Education from the City College of New York through the New York City Teaching Fellows Program.
