Ana Teresa Black Veino

Ana Teresa Black Veino is a Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. Ana Teresa is an elementary music and cocurricular lead teacher at Match Community Day in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Ana Teresa was a founding member of the award-winning children’s choir “Pequeños Cantores.” Earlier in her career, she taught bilingual choir (Spanish-English) at Margarita Muñiz Academy where she was part of the team that in 2015 earned the Grammy Signature Enterprise Award for the music department’s efforts of highlighting the importance of music education in underserved communities.  Ana Teresa earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies Concentrations from the University of Houston.
