Andrea Parker is working on creating opportunities and space for teacher collaboration around student engagement best practices. Andrea teaches 6th-8th grade English Language Arts at Robert Fulton Elementary School where she coaches the drama club and the battle of the books team. Andrea works as a framework specialist for Chicago Public Schools where she creates resources and facilitates workshops for teachers. She was a 2015-2016 Teach Plus Teaching Policy Fellow and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Andrea recently co-founded The Write Café, where she hosts writing workshops for the youth. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a BS in Journalism, received her MEd in Elementary Education from Chicago State University, and earned an MS from the American College of Education in Educational Leadership.
