Kenyon Andrews is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Kenyon is a Reading Intervention Teacher at Willow Bend Elementary in Wolfforth, Texas. Kenyon is a leader currently spearheading the implementation of professional tools to cultivate diverse cultures within the school setting and leading a school-wide initiative aimed at reframing behavioral interactions with students. He also serves as a youth mental health first-aider with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, a local and state delegate with Texas State Teachers Association and National Educators Association, and a member of the health and wellness committee for 100 Black Men of America. He’s also a proud member of Kappa Delta Phi and a writing contributor and upcoming presenter for the Council for Exceptional Children. He earned his BS and MS in psychology with a focus on child & adolescent development from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing his EdD with an emphasis in transformational leadership at Barry University.
