Dustin Bailey

Dustin Bailey is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. He teaches life science and agriculture at New Vista High School in Boulder, Colorado. Dustin has piloted a program at his school which teaches students to get involved in their local community, pursue a certification, or try out various career paths of interest prior to graduation. He has also created Boulder Valley School District’s first Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resource Career Technical Education (CTE) program that teaches students about the importance of sustainable food practices. He currently coaches the ultimate frisbee team at his high school, which won a state championship (spring 2023). Dustin graduated magna cum laude with his BA in ecology and evolutionary biology, with an additional major in anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder. He received his MA in curriculum and instruction from the University of Colorado Denver.
