Lance Barasch is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow. Lance is a high school algebra and precalculus teacher at the Townview School of Science and Engineering in Dallas, Texas. He serves as the 9th grade level department chair and the school sponsor for Academic UIL, which has sent teams to state competitions for the past three years. Lance has spent 14 years in the classroom teaching high school math, and previously worked as a research assistant at the Simmons School of Education at Southern Methodist University. He earned his BS in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma and his MEd in STEM-focused learning from Southern Methodist University.
