Brittany Scherer is an 8th grade social studies teacher at KIPP Indy College Prep Middle School where she is also the Social Studies Department Chair for grades 5-8. Brittany previously taught at Arlington High School during the first two years of the school’s turnaround effort. There, she taught 8th grade reading and literature, served as 8th grade team leader, and was voted Tindley Accelerated School’s Teacher of the Month in December 2013. Brittany’s ultimate goal as a teacher is to cultivate her students into inquisitive, engaged, and empathetic citizens. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in History and Political Science and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University.
