Calia Brooks is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and is a 7th and 8th grade reading/writing teacher at Bouchet International Academy. She facilitates Family Literacy Night, which is used as a way to increase the love of literacy as well as engage the families in the learning environment. She earned her BA in clinical psychology and BS in middle-grade education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is pursuing her MA in clinical mental health counseling.
