Adam Burton is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and a high school social studies teacher specializing in U.S. history at Starkville High School in Starkville. He serves as a teacher mentor for novice teachers in the district to better help and support new teachers as they begin their journey in education. Adam is the sponsor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Pickleball Club, and a co-sponsor of the Student Council. Previously, he served as a baseball and football coach at Natchez High and Siegel Middle School. Adam was the Natchez-Adams New Teacher of the Year (2015-2016) and Starkville High School Teacher of the Year (2021-2022). He earned his BA in history and an MA in teaching secondary from Mississippi State University.
