Brandon Carr is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and is the lead physical education and health teacher for grades Pre-K through 8 at Charles Sumner Math and Science Community Academy in Chicago. Brandon is a National Board Certified Teacher as well as a Certified Yoga instructor. Brandon began his teaching career in Florida as a 2014 Teach for America corps member, where he taught middle school science and then transitioned to physical education. He earned a BS in Physical Education with a concentration in parks and recreation from Morgan State University, an MA in Teaching and Learning from the University of St. Francis, and he is working on an MA in administration.
