Elizabeth Chapman is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow. She teaches and serves as the English Department Chair and Clubs and Study Abroad Coordinator at Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas. Elizabeth is the Co-Chair of the District Advisory Committee for Houston Independent School District and serves on the board of Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. She has published articles on teaching and learning in Edutopia, The Houston Chronicle, The San Antonio Express-News, and English in Texas. Elizabeth participated in the Engaging Eurasia Fellowship at The Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University. She completed a BA in political science at Texas A&M University and an MS in strategic forecasting at the University of Houston.
