Sarah Christesen is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. She is a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator and interventionist for grades 6-8 at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette, Colorado. Sarah focuses on data-driven differentiation, implementation of best practices, and supporting students and teaching teams with all components of Response to Intervention (RtI), while facilitating math and behavioral interventions with individual students. Sarah began her teaching career in North Carolina and continued to teach in various roles, including Responsive Classroom Curriculum Coordinator at the Munich International School while living abroad for several years. She earned her BA in psychology and sociology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a MAEd in special education curriculum and instruction from the College of William and Mary’s School of Education.
