Janice Marie Citchens is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and a middle school English teacher at West Tallahatchie High School in Webb. She is a passionate educator, dedicated to enriching the lives of her students through a focus on literacy and social-emotional learning. She serves as a lead teacher and mentor in the 2024 Teach for America: Greater Delta Cohort. Janice holds a BA in sociology from Mississippi Valley State University. She is pursuing an MPPA at Jackson State University.
