Clara Lucien is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and a fifth-grade teacher at Mozart Elementary School in Boston. She pursued a career in teaching to encourage a love of learning in all students. Clara believes that education is a powerful tool to change the world. Clara has participated in leadership roles within the school but also outside of the school setting. Previously, she served as a 2020 Math Teaching Fellow for Edvestors and was awarded the Boston Teacher Leadership Fund for her work in anti-racist teaching. She is currently participating in the Massachusetts CURATE Curriculum Fellowship where she works with other educators to analyze and rate curriculum for the state. She graduated from Boston College with a BA in Sociology and completed an MEd at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
