Connie Thomson is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Nevada Teaching Policy Fellow. Connie is a teacher on special assignment facilitating professional development for K– 12 educators across six counties in northeastern Nevada. She is a reviewer for the STEMworks initiative, serves on the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Science implementation guide committee, and is a Nevada Core Advocate mathematics cohort lead. Connie has participated in mathematics achievement level setting for Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and in work groups led by Achieve and ACESSE (Advancing Coherence & Equity in Systems of Science Education). Connie graduated from Sierra Nevada College with a BA in Humanities and received her MS with specialty in mathematics from Walden University.
