Bri Connor is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and a 4th and 5th grade bilingual teacher and instructional coach at José de Diego Community Academy. Bri is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Senior Research Fellow. She focuses on supporting and teaching bilingualism and biliteracy to the staff and students. Bri was named East Dallas Teacher of the Year (2022-2023) and Geneva Heights IB World School Teacher of the Year (2022-2023). Bri began her teaching career in 2015 through Fulbright as an English Teaching Assistant at the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, before returning to Texas to teach dual language elementary school. She earned a BA in Spanish from Austin College and a bilingual teaching certificate from Southern Methodist University.
