Denise Corbin is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow who teaches social studies/business, dual-credit economics, and Advanced Placement U.S. History at Waldron Jr./Sr. High School in Waldron. Denise also serves as the FBLA and NHS adviser for her campus. She is the president of the Indiana Council for Social Studies. In 2008, the National Council of Economic Education chose Denise as one of 12 economics teachers to participate in the Training of Writers program in Mexico City and in 2012, the National Endowment for Humanities chose her as one of 25 teachers in the U.S. to study history and culture in South Africa. Denise is a State Associate Adviser for FBLA in Indiana and president of the Indiana Council for Social Studies. She earned her BA in secondary social studies and her MEd in secondary social studies education and secondary education administration and elementary administration from Indiana University Southeast.
