Lesely Crawford is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a kindergarten teacher and Director at ABK Learning & Development Center in Pittsburgh. Lesely teaches children about literacy and social and emotion regulation skills to equip them with stamina and rigor. She began her teaching career as a middle school therapeutic teacher, as well as was an equity team member and the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator. Lesely received The Response in Caring award from the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Pennsylvania Child Care Association. Lesly earned her MS in counseling and BA in elementary and special education from Duquesne University, as well as a Certificate in Early Childhood Leadership from Harvard University and an associate’s degree in early childhood development from Community College of Allegheny Community College.
