Katelyn Damore is a returning 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. She serves as a bilingual content interventionist at Widén Elementary School in Austin. She is in her 10th year as an educator and has previously worked as a second-grade educator, mentor teacher, and reading interventionist. Katelyn is an alumna of the TPCSA Advocacy Leadership (ALI) Program. Within her career as an educator, she has taught internationally in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and Barcelona, Spain for a total of six years, igniting her passion for working with emergent bilinguals. She holds a BA with a special endorsement in language arts composite elementary education from Hope College.
