Daniel Pepper is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and the Introduction to Geography teacher at Long Beach Middle School in Long Beach. He is the head of Social Studies Department at his campus. He previously taught at the high-school level for seven years and is a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant. Daniel has been named the Teacher of the Year for Long Beach School District (2018-19) and the State Teacher of the Year for the American Legion (2018-19). He holds a BA in business management with a minor in history from the American Public University System, and an MEd in secondary education from William Carey University.
