Danielle Grenader is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Danielle teaches 6th grade Math, Social Studies, and Reading at Cicero East Elementary School in Cicero, IL. She is a member of her School Leadership Team and District Math Curriculum Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Mathematics Club of Chicago. She previously taught high school math at Mundelein High School and Roberto Clemente Community Academy, where she started the school’s first math team. Danielle is a 2014 Truman Scholarship Finalist and was recognized by President Obama for her work in advocacy and community engagement. Before teaching, Danielle served on the Board of Trustees for the University of Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BS in the Teaching of Mathematics and received her EdM in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
