Dr. Imelda De La Rosa is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Imelda teaches science at Salvador Garcia Middle School in Laredo where she also serves as science Pathfinder. Her previous experience includes being team leader, frontrunner leader, science department head, and 6th grade science lead. Imelda is a School Bell Award recipient, Teacher of the Year nominee, TIA designated educator, and selected as Top Educators of America 2019-2020 by the Who’s Who Directories. She is seeking National Board certification in the area of science early adolescence. Imelda holds a BS in biology and history with secondary certification, an MEd in curriculum and instruction with a minor in reading, and an EdD in curriculum and instruction.
