Deanna Wyrick is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Indiana Teaching Policy Fellow. Deanna is a 5th grade teacher at Whispering Meadows Elementary School. She is the chairperson of her school’s technology committee and serves on her school’s improvement committee, the district technology committee, and started the first robotic club at her school. Along with providing PD for her school and at the district level, Deanna has presented at state and national conferences. She is a three-time recipient of Excellence in Education ITT Grant. In 2009, she was named Air Force Northeast Chapter Teacher of the Year, and Teacher of the Year for her elementary school. Deanna graduated from Purdue with a BA in Elementary Education, received a Math Endorsement and MA in Elementary Education from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne, and completed her Supervision and Leadership License from Ball State.
