Marta Diaz is a 4th grade dual language Spanish teacher and site English learner facilitator at J.P. Kelley Elementary in Rialto, California. Her focus is to help students foster their cultural and linguistic backgrounds while acquiring dual language instruction; Spanish and English. She has been a DLI lead teacher in 3rd grade and 4th grade. She has been a site English learner facilitator focusing on EL students’ reclassification. Marta began her teaching career in 2015 at RialtoUSD and has taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades in both DLI and mainstream English classrooms. She earned her BA in English with a Minor in Education, MEd in Education, teaching credential, and Bilingual Authorization from the University of Riverside, California. Currently, she is working on her PhD at Claremont Graduate University. This year, she is acquiring a Reading and Literacy Added Authorization from the University of Southern California.
