Mary Rose Donahue is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Senior Policy Fellow. She is a 10th and 11th grade language arts teacher at Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado. Mary Rose is the faculty sponsor of Women’s Empowerment Club, as well as a co-sponsor of the Boulder High Theater Program. She began her teaching career at Shadow Ridge Middle School in Thornton, Colorado, and has proudly served as a Teach Plus Policy Fellow (2021-2022) and aSenior Policy Fellow (2022-2023 and 2023-2024). She has received the Lori Anne Lowe Endowed Teaching Award (2019), Pikes Peak Education Advocate of the Year (2019), and 4A Diving Coach of the Year (2019). Prior to teaching, Mary Rose served as an educational advocate with The Arc Pikes Peak Region. She earned her BA in English literature with minors in film studies and education, as well as an MA in teaching, both from Colorado College.
