Diamond Dortch is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and a 1st grade teacher at Brian Piccolo Elementary in Chicago. She currently serves on her school leadership team as well as assisting with the organization and launching of afterschool programs. Diamond was a finalist for her school’s Teacher of the Year award in 2020. She’s received the Leadership Award twice and was recognized by her district for high test scores in 2020. Diamond is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She earned her BS in elementary education from Jackson State University and an MEd in curriculum and instruction from Mississippi College.
