Tangelica Duplessis is a 2022-2023 Indianapolis Equity Change Agent and math teacher serving all seniors in jeopardy of not graduating at Lawrence Advance Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana. She currently teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry, emphasizing the critical thinking and problem solving skills that translate into real world situations. Tangelica was named Lawrence Advance Academy’s Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. Tangelica began her teaching career as a 2012 Indianapolis Teaching Fellow. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from Howard University (Washington, DC), an MS in Accounting – Controllership from Strayer University (Washington, DC), and an MA in Teaching from Marian University (Indianapolis, IN).
