Nicole Franklin is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and a 4th-grade general education master teacher and intern/new teacher mentor at Raymond F. Orr Elementary School in Fort Smith. She teaches in an inclusion school where all students work and learn together. She is a member of the Guiding Coalition and worked as a literacy facilitator for three years before returning to the classroom. Nicole was named the Fort Smith Teacher of the Year, and Regional Teacher of the Year, and was an Arkansas Teacher of the Year semi-finalist (2023-2024). She is a Level 2 Certified Marzano’s High-Reliability Teacher and National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Literacy. Nicole earned her Honors BA in early childhood education from The University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
