Emily Garrison is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and a 9th-grade English Language Arts teacher at Bentonville West High School in Centerton, Arkansas. She focuses on teaching young adults in the areas of diverse literacy, advanced writing, and peer collaboration to build their self-confidence and create life-long readers, writers, and thinkers. Emily has held leadership positions as a department chair, guiding coalition member, school backpack and food pantry director, an equity team member in conjunction with Lead Higher/EOS, and on a district curriculum team. She earned a BSE in English with honors from Arkansas State University, an MSE in Education Theory and Practice, and an EdS in Educational Leadership.
