Krystl Gauld is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Independence Mission Schools Teacher Leadership Project member and is a 5th grade homeroom teacher at St. Rose of Lima School. She teaches 3rd-5th grade religion, history, and English language arts to foster a well-rounded education that supports students’ intellectual, moral, and social development, cultivates critical thinking, and encourages a deep understanding of their cultural and spiritual heritage. Krystl serves as a professor, teaching master’s level and seminary courses at University Methodist University, and is a trained facilitator for International Leadership Institute’s History Makers programs. She earned her BA in English and African American history from Rutgers University, an MS in counseling from Cairn University, a ThD in trauma and transformation from Kairos University, and a nonprofit leadership certification from La Salle University.
