Bob Gilmore is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow. Bob is a 5th grade science teacher at Woodland Elementary School in Milford, Massachusetts. He serves on the district’s Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and co-leads the school’s after-school math and science club as well as the science and reading club. Bob served as vice president, president, and past-president of the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers. He was also president of the Massachusetts Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Bob was named the Massachusetts State Science Teacher of the Year and was a recipient of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Sontag Prize in Urban Education. Bob began his professional career as an audiologist specializing in working with deaf-blind children at Perkins School for the Blind. He earned his BA in communications from the University of Rhode Island; an MS in audiology from Gallaudet University; an MHA from Suffolk University; and an AuD from the University of Florida.
