Tia Graves is a 2024-2025 Philadelphia Affinity Group Network Facilitator and is a 3rd grade teacher at Lewis Elkin Elementary. She is math and social studies curriculum writer with the School District of Philadelphia and serves as a professional development creator and facilitator for the PSD Africana studies series. She has served as a PhilWP Scholar, Peco Scholar, Teacher institute Philadelphia fellow, and is a Teach Plus Policy Fellowship alumna. Tia was previously named Black Lives Matter Philadelphia Educator of the Year. Tia attended Lehman College where she got her BA in African American studies and human services as well as an MEd in elementary education with a focus on teaching math in urban communities.
