Karla Guevara is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow who teaches Spanish II-V at Riesel School in Riesel, Texas. She leads the English professional learning community, is the University Interscholastic League Director, and is an active member of the Parent Outreach Committee. Karla mentors first-year teachers and advocates for expanding advanced coursework in rural schools. She has been recognized as Teacher of the Year. Karla has a BA in Spanish from Sam Houston State University.
