Stephanie Hammerman is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. She is a 9-12 grade Education Specialist, teaching functional English, consumer finance and a transition class at Birmingham Community Charter High School in Lake Balboa, California. Stephanie is part of the inclusion team and is mentoring a student teacher from California State Northridge (CSUN). She became an Exceptional Needs National Board Certified Teacher in 2022. Stephanie received her BA from California State University, Los Angeles, and teaching credential from Azusa Pacific University. She recently completed her Bridge authorization, a special education teaching credential, which allows her to work with students who have mild to severe disabilities.
