Hang Nguyen

Hang Nguyen is a Teach Plus Los Angeles Teaching Policy Fellow and a veteran LAUSD elementary school educator who has taught in the district since 1998. A National Board Certified teacher, Hang was part of a team of teachers who wrote the plan for Lucille Roybal-Allard Elementary, a pilot K-6 school that opened in 2012. As the school’s intervention teacher, she works with students and supports educators across multiple grade levels. Hang is involved with C2, a Teach Plus initiative that focuses on teacher-led professional development, and has served as a Title I coordinator and instructional coach. She spent two years teaching in Japan through the JET Program. Hang earned dual BAs in Anthropology and Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Masters from Cal State Dominguez Hills.
