Janet Harrison is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow who teaches 9th grade English at Boswell High School in Fort Worth, where she is the English Department Lead and an AVID Site Team member. She previously served as the Irving ISD General Education Homebound Facilitator. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts for Adolescents and Young Adults and serves as the professional learning facilitator for the EMSISD NBCT Candidate Cohort. Janet started her teaching career after leaving the Army where she earned the Pacific Regional Medical Command Soldier of the Year. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BA in literary studies and received her MEd in educational administration from Dallas Baptist University.
